1957 WD45 Street value, great shape gas

I have a 1957 WD45 gas that has traction booster gauge, and power outlet for plow light, great shape wide front. Just spent 700$ in upgrades for 12 alternator ETC freshen up. Also brand new rear tires. It's in great shape. Runs like a champ. What's the real street value on this? I am in ND and need to sell this. I am asking 2200$ obo on craigslist. Will that sell it? Or is 1800$??? I have 1800 into it and its way above average. ??? Thoughts?---Adam

The days of finding a Decent used one are long gone..
I'd say you are right on, assuming your description is accurate..
After all, just what would the NEW rubber cost to replace..?

Ron.

If the tires are 14.9s, maybe a set of weights and factory
power steering, I'd say $3000 or more.

You have a nice tractor but finding someone that actually wants to run a WD45 these days is the problem.I grew up on one and it was a great tractor but I have no desire to use one now there are just too many much more comfortable diesels out there these days with power steering and burn 1/2 the fuel as a WD45.D17s are selling in the price range you're talking about much more operator friendly tractor. Its been a long time since I've seen a WD45 sell at an auction for over $1200.

I hate to say it, but traditional is right. The guys who like running WD 45's are getting more and more rare. They also don't like spending a lot of money. I think your location is going to hurt you as much as anything. $1800 should be more than fair and if you can hang on you'd probably get it. If it has to go, I'd think $1500 would get her gone. There are still too many $800 running ones out there that people would rather spend the money on. even if they aren't half as good as yours sounds.

I had 52 WD here with a loader ,ran decent ,loader was boggered ,slow hydraulics , ECt ,Best thing going for it was it looked original ,,. 3 yrs ago , before tractor prices started sinking , listed on CL for 2200 ,, a fella called brought his trailer some 70 miles away ,,, he wanted to give me only 1500,, we agreed on 1800,after he hung it up in 3rd gear ???? .I Guilted him into buying LOl ,We were All Good natured about the deal ,, and I was surprised when he agreed .. . being original was ALSO key to the sale in the buyers eyes

I have seen a WD45 sell at auction for as high as $2700 and as low as $500 so the price is all over. If you hold out you may get what you want or you may not and this time of year is not a good time of year to sell any thing unless some one wants it as a gift

First off, pics would help. A lot depends on your part of the country. I don't know how big Allis was in your area. I can find 4 or 5 of them on craigslist in the Omaha, NE area on any given day from $750 to $2000. I have seen the $2000 ones that are more cobbled up and in worse condition than some of the lower end priced ones. Unfortunately Allis doesn't have the following like Deere or IH so prices tend to be lower.

Personally without the pics I think you're a bit high, but it all depends on how fast you need to see it go down the road. just my 2 cents.

I just sold this one for $4500. It had great rubber, Char-lyn power steering, 12 conversion and ran great. I also threw in a 2 bottom SC plow, 6' SC blade, Model 80R sickle mower....and delivered it 100 miles away.

Today, so many have been butchered for "tractor Pulling", a good original will get hard to find and "fence-row" Queens are never an easy way to go..!!

Face it..the WD-45 is a LOT of Tractor and takes up not much space..!
