WC starter fluid

I have a 37 WC crank start only.
Being stubborn in the cold.
Will it hurt anything to use some starter fluid to help get it going?

Kind of a rush to give it a quick short shot and then get to the crank, but a helper giving it a little burst would be good. Either way, moderation is the key.

Starting fluid is pretty violent stuff. I don't know how it would effect your arm (kickback) even with your magneto/impulse/timing all in order.
Spray carb. cleaner can be used as a more gentle "starting fluid".

Recently I have had surprising results using WD-40 (the Flammable product)..
