Allis 190XT timing gear question

Can you replace the early soft timing gears with later hard gears? Do you need to replace all 5 gears as a set? If so where does it show that? Was there a
service bulletin? How can I get a copy? Thanks!

If you want to replace with a hard gear all of the gears have to be hard. You will also have to replace the cam shaft if going to the hard gears. No bulletin, it's all in the service manual.
I am totally rebuilding my 190xtd that's how I know these things. And get ready for some hurt if your going to buy the gears and cam shaft.

Wouldn't you be better off, getting a 301 engine of a G diesel combine? there's a few around!
