I replaced the seal on my 1951 CA (tricycle type) axle. I placed a shim when putting back together. Before putting the tires back on I checked the play which was 1/2 inch. Is this too much play and should I removed the shim? If I leave the shim in and put the tractor back on the ground, will the weight of the tractor reduce the play?
