190 Gas Hydrolics problem after pump replacement

We have a 190 that we replaced the pump on and we are having problems with the clutch engaging fully sometimes and also the stearing is no responsive. Does anyone know where I should start with troubleshooting?

Air leak?

The power director and the steering are on the same circuit. You did not mention which pump youhave. 2 section or 3 section. The 2 section has a flow divider that sumtimes sticks.
Have you checked the screen in the sump?
Does the lift and remotes work ok?
