re: 7010 oil capacity

I recently purchased a 1980 AC 7010. I also bought an operator's manual and a parts manual for it. The operator's manual says that an engine oil and filter change will take approximately 16 quarts. I changed the oil and filters and it took just a little less than 14 quarts. Is this normal or is there something screwy going on here?

Also, the operator's manual says that there are drain plugs on both sides of the oil sump. However, on mine, there was only one drain plug and it was in the center of the oil pan. Did AC make a change to the oil pan? Or has someone changed to a different oil pan on this tractor?

I have a 1981 7010 with two oil filters and the oil pan has one plug . I believe it holds 15 quarts of motor oil.

Bottom of pan . You have a good tractor as long as there is oil in your motor and is full try it out and use it .
