Still restoring my '39 model B.

I want to clean & repaint the air cleaner.

How do you get the filter screen out of the air cleaner body without damaging the housing?

I don't take them apart, I soak them in kerosene

Then blow out with compressed air and repeat and repeat till clean.

They are spot welded and you would need to drill out the spot welds, not worth it in my opinion.

Ted thanks. I want to put this thing in my bead-blast cabinet. It's already been cleaned in the parts washer so I'll likely tape up the ends to keep the blast media out of the air cleaner body.
