AC wire diagram

I just bought a 42 AC C with 6v system none of the wires was hooked up except the magneto ground which was defective. The battery cables was also missing, The book that I have doesn't show wiring, does anyone have a wiring diagram? I'm also not sure if the wires are run through the tractor correctly.

google Allis Chalmers model C wiring diagram. Diagrams are in the operator manual, not usually in the service manual. The C was positive ground, so should have one heavy (neg) cable to starter terminal. Power to system also comes off of that terminal with a smaller wire.

Pg 4 here has an IB diagram, same as C, but for voltage regulator system.

Pg 3 here has original diagram under "WD45 generator".

I've googled it to death. It seems that a harness has 5 wires to it. One seems to be for the lights, goes back to the switch. and two to the generator but I don't know where they would go to. One would be the ground for grounding out the Mag, but from there I don't know. But the links in the post don't show up.

the 2 from the genny are the "field wire and goes to the resistor on the 3 position light switch. the other one is the "battery wire" and goes to the amp meter. thes would be 14 gauge wire. You would also heve a 10 gauge wire from the starter terminal to the amp meter. LOL Bob

Exactly what I needed. Since the tractor is 100 miles away took me time to get to it only to find out that the old harness was shorted out and broken. So I ran new wires. Thank you all.
