170 gas starter labors

AC 170 gas seems like the battery can barely turn the motor over. I just put a new strong 800 cca battery in it and same as with the battery that was in it. Battery cables look good and are large; connections clean. Maybe the starter is the fault!??? Any ideas?

Maybe your timing needs to be reset ?? Try moving it a little in each direction and see it it helps.

Check your cables with an OHM meter. Sometimes they corrode under the insulation.

I have seen more then one NEW battery be bad right off the shelve. Or your cables are bad which you can not see or the starter in one of them can cause you problem. Easy thing to do is pull the starter and have it checked at any good auto parts store
