The original UTB starter on my AC 5040 got so weak it would not turn the engine over. I replaced it with a Marreli TX12433R. It turns the engine over fine and starts good, but it makes a fairly loud whirling noise, not metal grinding noise, more like whine. Is this normal? I believe the Marreli is gear reduction starter. Size wise is quite a bit smaller than the UTB.
