So I to replaced the Solenoid on the 7080
Started 6 times fine, then on 7th times it stayed engaged. I had to disconnect battery to get it to stop
Took solenoid off looked it over then reconnected, still stuck engaged soon as i tapped batt cables on. So its welded itself internal to starter I think.
My thoughts are, too many Amps are going to starter which caused it to stick? So easy way here is to check how many amps are hitting starter? How many Amps should there be? Or the safe range?
Then ill need to take starter apart and have it looked at.
But maybe its a voltage regulator gone bad. I would change that first if its taking on too many Amps. Right?
They made 2 regulators for that tractor, based off of the type of Alternator is has
Anyone have this issue before?
