Just purchased a CA. Since this is my first experience with a hand clutch on this size of tractor, should it lock back or do you just have to hold and then release to continue?

It is spring loaded and you have to hold it back.

The purpose of the hand clutch was to allow the PTO to keep running, while the tractor slowed or stopped. It can be slipped or pulled all the way back. to stop the tractor, which is beneficial when mowing, or letting the implement, such as a combine, or bailer, run a heavy slug through it.

Help help
I got a ca Allis at auction this week half in a basket
And could use some parts
A manifold,hitch parts and draw bar,manual
Oil filter,battery box,to start with.
The man died and it sat for awhile he had put in new selves and pistons, the rest is in a basket
I paid $975.00 and I am also old 79 and foolish
So could use some help if any one can help with parts
It would be nice. So if you have a junker around maybe
Some one can help me out so my wife won't laugh at me.
