2 wire one large, one small. large one goes to the ampgage. where does small one go. need wiring picture if possible.

Is this a delco 10SI? If it is I think you have three wires? Two wires coming out the the regulator plug and the heavy wire on the stud.

The heavy wire goes to the amp meter. One of the regulator wires to the stub on back. And the third wire goes to the igntion switch. This wire will need a diode or a on/off switch with three terminals.
