Styled WC side sickle mower

A friend of a friend needs the complete pitman arm assembly (Hardware too) for a side mount sickle mower (ahead of the rear wheel). Where would we look. Talked to a AC parts man at the Lincoln county Mo. show last weekend and all he had was the wood part of the pitman arm only. This is for a styled WC and, no a B or C side mount mower part will not work.

Exposure on this or similar boards is probably your best bet, along with maintaining a list over time, of collectors around your area. It"s not an item that folks/yards are likely to concentrate on.

Checking through the AC mower parts book, it shows that the wooden pitman is the only thing different from a #3 or B-C mower. And there are 2 different ones depending on whether mower was built prior to March 1938 or later. A styled WC likely takes the later. People have been known to make their own pitman from raw lumber and I have seen blank pitman wood at a farm store, just cut to length and drill the holes. So, if you can find the iron parts from a #3 or B-C mower, one could create what your friend needs.
