Repack front bearings AC 185

I had to repack left side front wheel bearings so after that I thought I better check the other side.

That's where the trouble started when I jacked the right side up.
The spindle dropped down about 3/4" , what and why did this side drop? What and how do I fix this brass bushings go bad or what???

Jeff. It looks like there is a thrust bearing or washer missing there. Take a close look at the other side or a parts book.

If the mushrooming at the bottom of the tube is worn metal, not just grease, the bushing at the bottom of the tube may be worn enough to need replacing as well. Things don"t look square there.
