LARGE PTO Extension Shaft RARE? Allis or Case
I got this with a Farmall pulley. You will see how it was altered to fit the Farmall. I am completely stumped. Part number is 500676. It is damn big!

It is the pto shaft for a forage harvester and also model 66 combine. Den
 
I am guessing it's the 20 spline, 1 3/4 in,
1,000 rpm shaft, your speaking of? The 1,000 rpm, also came in the smaller horsepower version,180hp, and less, that's a 1 3/8 diameter, 21 spline, which is the same diameter as the standard 540, 6 spline shaft. If in doubt count the splines,the high rib, or use a caliper or an tape measure,to help u figure out what u got, and what u need. You can buy adapters to go up in size or down in size, and to go from 1,000 rpm to 540, etc, but be very careful, or u will the overspeed the machine if its a 540, and wreck something. i am curious what are you trying to do ?
 
The large PTO came standard on all tractors over 180 hp, I guess it would help if i would read and comprehend at the same time!!!

LOL Harry :) Which series or models would that have included? Was not able to find anything relating to the part / cast number. Thanks and happy Thursday!
 
Iowa Iron Girl, that's not a IH part number, it has to have a R1 or a R91 or a C1 on the end, I do know that the 1566, IH had the big 1000 rpm shaft,that was in the late 70's,the 8430 John Deere, was a 175 HP, that had it, Not sure on a 1570 case, that was rated at a 180 or so,i would guess that had the Big diameter shaft also.

If the number 500676 is the part number on it...that is an AC part number and it is for the forage harvester and or 66 model combine. How about a picture of it.
