185 oil leak

Hello all. Posted a couple weeks ago I was looking at a 185 with a slight noise in the transmission . Got her home today ,decided to put her to work a little . Brush hogged an hour or so. Noise quieted down some , still gonna pull it apart . Now I have a steady drip of oil coming from the hole where right brake actuator comes out of the rear end . The rod doesn't pass through a seal there does it ? Thanks for any input .

No seal there. That's a dry area. Combination band and disc brake in there has to be dry.

Most likely the seal that leaking is the one for the ring gear assembly. While you're in there, check the bearings, they may be worn too.
