Ok so after doing a litte more looking based on some questions off my original post it appears that the old Alice is a 190XT. I know that it needs a head gasket (water in oil)as a minimum. The tires are horrible but otherwise not sure about anything for sure. Tin is ok and grandpa said it was a good tracter for him.Any additional info as to what to look out for as I tear it down is appreciated. However, is there anyone out there that thinks it may not be worth the teardown and rebuild? Thanks in advace!!

Depends as to what series it is. I had a series III. Was a great tractor, even after it got to jumping out of gear.
I can't remember, but do the 2900 series motors have an oil cooler? I know the 3500 motors did, and that was where I was getting coolant in the oil, or maybe it was oil in the coolant. Been quite a few years since I had an Allis.
Just a word of advice, learn to spell your tractor name, and you will get a lot more help.

It would make you a good unit. The series is minimal differences on these but be forewarned these are prone to cavitation erosion where the orings meet the block. Can be repaired in a machine shop or if a light use unit know weld and a hone but not a great fix.

muther deer dealer here in corydon in , sells a radiator additive that combats and reduces cavitation ,,I get a pint each year and split it betwwen 4 diesels ...
