What do they call the spring that hooks to throttle rod over to governor shaft I guess. Is it a anti-vibration spring? Does it have a part number? Where does it actually hook too on each end. Mine took a flying leap one night while removing carb. and can't find it. Thank you

It"s an anti-surge spring. One end hooks over the throttle shaft, fwd of the carb, the other end hooks over the radiator drain cock. Some earlier models had a hole in the throttle rod for the spring.

Didn't the WD have the anti surge spring and the WD45 had the spring that hooked to the choke rod and the draincock on the side of the block?

I tried looking this up a couple of years ago and I seem to remember everyone telling me the WD45 didn't have the surge spring. I went to the local hardware store and found a spring to connect to my choke rod which makes sense on my WD45 since my buddy who owned the tractor before me always had a problem with the choke wanting to vibrate closed.
