D-17 distributor

Will a distributor from a non power steering d-17 work on a d-17 with power steering? Im wanting to add power steering but I was told that I"ll need a new distributor because mine will not work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Should be no problem at all!
When I was having a distributor problem on my series II D-17 with PS, I temporarily stuck a good distributor off my WD-45 into the D-17. Worked perfectly fine.
