Allis C lubrication

I have a C that melted a lower connecting rod bearing. Are there holes up by the cam that drip oil to lube these? Is there anything I should look at while the engine is out of the tractor to avoid having this happen again?

Thanks

The oil does spray out of the camshaft thru holes on the rods. If the rod bearing melted it would mean a lack of oil. I would look at the oil pump to make sure it was in working condition. It is driven by a pin in the camshaft.

Oil holes in the cam bearings need to be lined up with the hole in the casting. If you have it apart,I would put new cam bearings in it.
Also might check out the pick up screen on the oil pump and check the drive pin in the cam that turns the oil pump.
