I have a hand start B that I have torn "all the way down". A guy bave me a torque tube that has the starter hole. I have been comparing the tubes and noted a couple differneces. This one may not matter but the notch cut out of the top of the bell housing on the "new " one is a "V" where as the one the one currently have onthe tractor has o much more refined notch ( like a 'U") - could the V be hand cut by someone or is that just how they were? The sides of the new one have 3 threaded bosses on one side and 2 threaded bosses on the other ( about in the middle)- the one I have does not have have those ( implement mounts??).
The plan I have is to put the new one on so if I gather parts eventually it would have electric start. would it reqire a new flywheel of just add a ring gear ( is there enough room ? ) I know there is other parts ( generator- have the threaded holes in the block, tool box, battery box...) but me and my dad like to look for parts ..... Or should I just leave it as hand start?
thanks for you thoughts.
