Gas lever linckage

I was noticing on my boys WD that the lever is connected to a rod running down to a 1/2 moon shaped piece. This piece at the other end of the 1/2 moon is attached to a rod that goes up to around the back of the valve cover. At this point is a 3 fingered piece. One finger goes to the rod to the lever, one finger goes to a rod going to the governor and the middle finger goes to a stud attached to it. The stud looks like it might have been hooked to a spring. IF SO, where does the spring attach at the other end??

Zoom in on the pic and see where the spring stretches back toward the steering wheel.

Thanks for responding, but I don't know how top zoom in, and its too dark for me to see where the other end of the spring ends up.

You can usually zoom in by enlarging the screen size. Look at the lower right corner of the screen and see if you can increase to about 400%. The pic was taken in the shed during winter. I believe that the spring hooks through a hole in the support bracket to which the gas tank retainer strap connects. Tractor is a long way from me right now. I had to replace mine several months ago. Still available from AGCO.

Stu, Againi. I DONT KNOW HOW TO ZOOM in on anything. Im 66, and can barely turn this thing on and off. Im pretty sure IF I could zoom in on it, it would STILL be too dark to see the spring, or where it hooks up to.

Well, I guess that you are not trying to view this on your smart phone, huh? How about the page out of the operators manual that I posted. Can you see the spring between the light and the oil filter? I guess that all you need to know is that the rear end of the spring hooks through the hole in the support that I mentioned.

Just as an aside, here is another way to zoom. If you have a Windows system, go up to the menu at the top. Click on View.
Take your mouse pointer down to Zoom and you should see some options to the right. Click on 400%. That should do it for you.

I am a couple of years younger than you and try to help older folks out.

Nope, trying to see it on my puter. I didn't get a post from you with a pic out of the ops manual?
