No oil at gauge

Broke 63

I have a WD the gauge shows no oil pressure. So I changed the gauge out same thing. I bypassed the oil filter. I took another oil gauge and hooked it to oil supply line on the side of the block and have 18# pressure. I Hooked the line back to filter housing took filter off and oil comes up the pipe and has pressure and filled filter. Took gauge out of filter housing started and no oil came out of hole in filter housing for gauge any ideas?

You may have the wrong filter ,Some interchange lists have the wrong #. I use a Baldwin B50 in that app.

And make sure the metal "spike" is still in the filter base. Filter needs to be cotton yarn and NOT paper pleats.

You have a simple problem. Back pressure caused by the filter is what makes oil pressure so if you have the wrong filter you have little or no pressuree

Broke,
Not sure of the configuration on the Allis but had a non working gauge on an older Cat. Turned out to be a plugged oil sending line. Just a thought.

I just looked at another machine with that type filter , and it's a Wix 51101 so it would be a NAPA 1101 ,so with the Baldwin B50 ya got 3 numbers to work with.....
