Took my AC 6080 to the hay field today. Always use on the round baler. Tractor did not have any power. Replaced the fuel filter, but did not help. Am I correct that the 6080 does not have a sediment bulb? The only thing done recently was serviced the tractor (changed the oil and lubed all fittings). The more I pushed the throttle no more power. Thank you for any suggestions.

Are the RPM's changing with the throttle? If the RPM doesn't change; the throttle linkage may be the problem. If the RPM's are going up with the throttle then what about the Air Filter? I have a JD that has an additional in - line filter to catch water. It normally doesn't come with the tractor; but was an add - on feature offered when new. Sediment bowl? Fuel Filter is the sediment bowl on diesels I believe. I have a neighbor with a AC 6080, rode with him haying a few times; No S Bowl that I saw!

May be time for injection pump service, retainer flex ring may be failing inside. Confirm by loostening the two screw timing cover allowing fuel to leak out of the housing while running, if engine then accelerates OK then the pump needs serviced before more internal damage is done.

Had the about the same problem with my 6060, had to have the pump rebuilt. There is a drive couple inside that is made of hard rubber that goes to pot. Also a fuel filter that is not a water stop type was used on these tractor. I put a separate filter right at the fuel tank with a sediment bowl and water drain on it. HTH's Lee
