AC B and 2 way plow

Local iron yard has a rusty old B with hydraulics with a rather large 2 way plow hooked to it. The ignition box was all rusted out, but I hit the starter and it fired right up. Had to use the choke to shut of off.

Question - did they really make those plows for the B"s? It looks like way too much for a B to pull, even with all the weights this one had.

Whats the plow worth? Might try to buy the whole thing and then sell off the plow.

Thanks,
Tim

If it's a 2 way plow with all that goes with it you might get $300 depending on condition and location. If it's a 2 bottom plow then it's probably for a CA and might be worth $200 depending on condition.

B's and C's had a left and a right plow, that mounted together, making it a 1 bottom 2 way plow. If a B has a 2 bottom rollover, it's likely off a CA, as late model b's have snap coupler bell, and can easily mount the CA plow. Pulling it in the field is another story...

It is the left hand and right hand plow hooked together. Its not a regular 2 bottom plow.

So are you saying that only 1 bottom at a time is dropped and used? It seemed that the whole thing (both bottoms) either would be up or down at the same time. I'll go back this weekend and take a closer look.

Thanks,
Tim

Unless someone threw this thing together with incorrect pieces- the original set up was a "split" rockshaft. A hyd. cylinder on each side, with a selector valve- allowing you to drop one side, or the other.
