wd45 crank?

I just looked in a catalog that sells rebuilt crank shafts and the 2 engine use different part numbers for the crank so not likely that they will switch

The main bearings are the same specs but the thrust bearing is in a different location and the front shaft is longer on the d17. One thrust bearing is in the middle and the other is in the back. Different bearing set and I think different rear main seal. When my old wd spun a rod I had to put the whole combine engine in it because the crank wouldn't fit. Takes a pulley from a wd 45 to make it work though.

My vote is with the NO's here. I do think it depends on what series D17 though. The part numbers on this site bear this out.
