WD 45 drawbar pull

Looked at a WD 45, (checked the engine and it is a WD 45), what can it pull concerning implements?
Size of disk and plow? Would 10 foot be ok for a disk, but what size of a plow?

Some of this depends on where you are. Different soils in different areas pull easier or harder depending.

Around here most 45's were used with a mounted snap coupler 3 bottom plow. My guess if you are using a pull type you should probably use a 2 bottom unless you are going to ballast the bejeberz out of the tractor.

All this is assuming the engine, etc are in decent condition.

Before anyone asks me what difference it makes between pull type plows and mounted watch the video attached. If you don't want to sit through the whole 10 minutes just go to about 5 minutes in where they explain the traction booster.

Farmed for years with a WD and it was always fighting for a foot hold. The last few years put duals on a WD 45 and had a lot more tractor it seemed. It would pull a 10 ft. disk.

In some areas, the WD-45 would pull the AC Semi-Mounted 4x14 plow and never drop below 2nd gear, but it does require all 4 tires be Loaded..

I got so I liked to plow with one Dual on the left and kept that rear wheel slid "in"..

2 of these setups would turn 50 ac/day..(4-Bottom).

With Duals, same size as the inside tires, you should pull a 10' #37 IH disc with 12' Harrow in 3rd gear all day..
