My dad is looking at one of these. He is looking for a tractor with cab and air as he is getting older. We have a wd45, but that is the only allis we have. Please give us the good and bad points of a 7030? Value in decent condition in Indiana? We know very little about the 70 series allis tractors.
Thanks Reaver

Not been around a 7030 in many years, but they were a solid tractor. I think they had issues with the rearend on some of them. Air will be a fight, any way it was on my 7045.
$5000 would be the high side around here, and more likely $2500.

We had one and it never gave us trouble. Plenty of power for 5- 16's. Ours had 20.8 duals- a lot different than a WD 45.

Neighbor has a 7030, a 7060, and the other guy over has a 7010. I have run and worked on all three of those as well as a 7050. Big ole bulky tractors, but in the field they stay put. Pulled a new Hesston baler with the 7030, air cond was a little iffy, but the tractor was big enough that I hardly knew the baler was back there.

7030 were the first in the line. followed by the red belly series. 7020 is almost a completely different tractor. if your willing to spend 5k, I'd look around for a 7020, I think you will be happier, especially if it has a power shift!
