HD3 thermostat

Recently needed info about a thermostat for an HD3 Allis crawler. Seem to be having trouble finding an in-hose thermostat. NAPA says it is a flange mount. As I look at the HD3 it appears there is not a spot for it. Does anyone know anything about this situation? Am considering using a Ford N tractor in-hose thermostat instead. Any and all thoughts are welcome.
