Replacing the Quadrant on a WD

I found an air hammer(air chisel with hammer head) was my friend. Took the steering shaft apart down inside the frame at the universal. I couldn't get it apart by myself. But with a friend pulling and trying to turn the steering wheel, I went after the universal with the air hammer and it came right apart.

At the universal, is that a regular pin (that can be driven out)? When I look at the universal, it appears that the pin is partly out.

It's a solid pin. You can put it back in, peen the ends, tack weld it, or just use a roll pin. Doesn't matter.
As I recall, the air chisel/punch/hammer was a great help removing the pin also. I still remember from trying to drive the pin out from underneath the tractor, smashing my hand.

Had to drill a couple out on mine. I used coiled roll pins. They are a lot tougher than a standard roll pin. Easier to remove than stock pins if you need to work on it later.
