HD3 Allis diappearing antifreeze

Forum Members,
Have been working on a '65 HD3 Allis. May have a bigger problem than the starter. Have added close to gallon of antifreeze and see no fluid in the radiator. The only noise heard is the bubbling at the top of the radiator. Seems the oil level has moved up a bit on the dipstick, a bit too much. What are the possibilities with these symptoms? Will attempt to get to the crankcase drain tomorrow. Is there another way to figure out if oil is in the crankcase? Any and all thoughts are welcome.

There a couple of possible issues. Head gasket could be bad
or the sleeves are known to drop in the counterbores and
cause gasket failure. The engine oil cooler could be cracked or
maybe the rings on the sleeves are not sealing in the block. I
suppose it could be a hole in the oil cooler for the transmission
but I think this would probably result in oil in the water not
water in the oil. This is not a diagnosis but some things to look
for. Good luck hunting the leak.

Chad,
Thanks for the input. I found the leak-in my over thinking the situation :) Continued to fill the radiator and it is fine. Used a trick from the N tractor forum, aquarium air tube through the dip stick opening and found no antifreeze. :):) Was having trouble with the starter and had to modify the starting routine by ( by passing ) the solenoid. It turned over yesterday. Today is a start up day.
Need an opinion though- am looking at the track drive sprocket and it seems quite worn. Checked on line to find a new or used drive sprocket and none were to be found?? Also found a site on line that explained how the under carriage works and things to watch for. This will determine my bid on the crawler. Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.

The undercarriage can be fixed although new parts are not
that prevalent. I have heard that newer allis tracks, like hd-4, and sprockets
can be made to fit. Our h3 has tracks and sprockets off TD-6
international. Steering clutches can be relined. Some parts
could be found from minn-par or maybe from other providers.
If someone has connections they could chime on here.
