update: Wd won't shift without grinding

With further inspection I took off the inspection plate off and the clutch does disengage while not running. When the motor is running and you depress the clutch there is a clacking coming from the clutch assembly. Was hoping someone could give me ideas before I pull the motor.

sounds like you are going to be pulling motor no matter what, either need throw out bearing or pressure plate

I was thinking pressure plate. Just wanted someone else to confirm that my thinking was probably right.
