A few things to consider with WD power

I'm buying a WD45, I don't know which one yet but of which I've driven there are various issues to consider:

Synchros on the first tractor, or is it just the shift fork / linkage? It won't stay in third with anything on the gas, and it sticks into fourth pretty bad. I can't even hold it into third gear.

On the second tractor I have to hold on the hand clutch to drive anywhere.

The second tractor also has an engine from a WD in it that leaks from all edges.

Of less concern is that number 1's radiator has a big hole in it and 2 has a bucket on front with a junk hydraulic system, or the pump isn't working very well

I would suggest a learning curve.....WD45s were a generation before any synchros....that tractor is simply worn out. Holding the hand clutch in- maybe just some clutch adjustment with shims....unless they"re already worn out and removed. Leaky WD engine in a WD45? keep looking. Big differences in those two engines. Radiators can be repaired/replaced. Loader with junk hyd/pump not working? How do you judge that?

I'm thinking also I would keep looking for a tractor that doesn't have so many problems that you described. You might be inheriting a lot of some ones problems and a big expense.

If they want more than scrap price for them, walk away. There are tons of WD45's out there that don't need $1000 worth of work before you can use them.

I would just keeping lookink. There are some good deals on this site and honest guys . I bought my WD45 5 yeras ago for a G and changed the top or the trans.--- never looked back, she's a real good girl -- good luck
