The pedestal(front support in the parts manual)and the spindle block on my 1936 WC are worn out. It gets the "Death Wobble" at half throttle in 4th gear, and the bearing on the bottom of the shaft is gone. Are they the same for all WC tractors, styled and unstyled? And where should I begin to look for a replacement?

Can not say it they are the same but can say I have a WC parts tractor that has the pedestal on it

There was a fellow named Don on here(I can't remember his user name) who went through all that. He found some odd bearings on the worm shaft. Several of us did all the looking we could, and found nothing on them. His is a styled one.

But, your best bet is used, and enough time on here should find you something in your area.

I replaced all the bearings in the front support on my WC. I had a difficult time finding some of the bearings. The bearings in my WC, 1944 model, had spherical rollers and races. The local bearing suppliers in my area did not have them. Also, the parts manual listed several part numbers for some of the bearings which added to the confusion. A good place to start is Sandy Lake Implement. Getting another front support may be a quicker and cheaper fix. Good Luck!

WC pedistals are the same ...use a wd front it is just a litle heaver..in weight..fits right in...or replace with a wide wd front ...WHER U LOCATED AT..I have a guy hear in ohio has WC fronts .i gave him $25.00 for mine..

I have a complete styled WC pedestal that is very tight. It includes everything from the steering input shaft to the hubs. I am in NY 1 hour north of Syracuse. I just want it out of the way, it is one of the last few WC parts I have left. If you can use it I would sell it for $10, I had been thinking about scrapping it just to save storage space. Right now it is a little buried in snow but in a week or two or three it should be findable again. Let me know if you are interested.

B, Allen at R&R equipment in Indianola Iowa got me all those oddball bearings for dads WD45, along with the cork seals. For years he was an AC dealer. I don't have a phone book here, you can probably google his #.

I had the same wobble problem with my 37 WC.
I bought all the parts including the lower bearing needed from the AGCO dealer in WIsconsin.
I can get you the contact info. if you want it.
Mine also had a loose worm gear pin which added to the problem.
Once I had it all rehabbed and tightened up the steering was and is tight.
Mines a brute still in its work clothes.
See pic. attached.
