I was wondering I"d any one could tell me any thing bout a 30-50 . I would like to find one for my Gpaw his dad had one years a go and it got sold on accident and info would be great thanks.

I'm not familiar with a 30-50. There were 6-12, 10-18, 15-30, 18-30, 20-35, 25-40 and I believe the Threshermans Special was considered a 30-60 if I remember right. About what year would the tractor have been?

According to one book there were only about 70 of them built and they were so powerful that the Allis warranty did not cover plowing with this model, they were designed for belt work. Good luck finding one for sale.

The Threshermans were basically a 25-40 tractor with 5-1/4" bore instead of 5". From what I've read there was never one tested at Nebraska so an official HP was never made but I think they were referred to as a 30-60, 30 HP on the drawbar and 60HP on the belt, I could be wrong.

The transmission may be like that used on the AC "Compressor-Type" tractor a friends has...

That one has what looks like a normal WD engine block, but with 2 additional cylinders cast in..

He said it could not be used for "Field-Work", as
the transmission was not built strong enough for that..

Your target tractor may be built the same?

Ron.
