Nuther Allis C performance question

I have taken as much as .200 on just one. I have taken off .150 from as least a six.

Three of these were .150 and one was .200

not looking to but into something thats not my business , but why would you want to cut that much off a head of any type? just waisting a head, if it ever needs surfaced again it maybe to thin , .200 is alot off any head surface

I'm guessing this is high horsepower performance work. Pulling that much off the head is going to do a lot for your compression ratio. In the parade tractor world, you'd only take enough to get back to flat.

This was in answer to how much you can remove, not what is advised for normal use. I cut up a head before I started removing material. This was to take the horse power on a C engine high enough to perform with some pullers that were doing the same with other brands. One hot shot had assured me that it couldn't be done on my C.
A completive spirit in me that may or may not be healthy took me deeper into what could be done to this little engine that did not show on the outside.
This is why someone would do such things. :)^D
