the job is complete, now to replace the oil, it appears to have had the 80 wt. that the manual calls for and is just my opinion, i have some 80-140, should i use it or can i go with the other option stated in the manual of SAE 20/20,..any problems with the switch..

I would use the oil weight and type the manual calls for:

oil is cheaper than paying a repairman and buying new parts again.

it was a roll pin in the PTO shift lever, you can see it through the plate at the power director lever but not enough room to get the pieces out of the old one and put the new one in, $2.00 in parts and 4 hrs. to put them in

OK. I can't remember who was doing what on here. Too bad. I was hoping someone might come up with some special little tool to press the bugger out/in.
The power director clutch works better with the lighter oil. They eventually put hyd/trans oil in everything on those tractors (except the final drives)

On the other forum, there's a couple guys who worked on these when they were new. They will tell you to put universal trans/hyd fluid in the trans, hand clutch, and hydraulics. Put the 80-140 in the final drives.
