Recently purchased a model D motor grader. Plate says serial No. 22A07215 - can't seem to find what year this might be. Gas engine, power steering, tilt wheels. Seems to run pretty smooth and hydraulics working well. Has a cab made by Stolpher Industries that may have been added. Any ideas as to value?

PICS PLEASE paid 3500 4 mine 10 yrs ago. sonds like yours is in pretty good shape. worth depends on condition and want[ how bad does someone wants or needs it]. easy to work on when needed. good luck what are you going to do with it? CC

Sounds like you are reading a casting number not the serial #.
Serial # would be on a brass plate, about 4" square, on the frame
side, where you step up into the operator's position. Can't
remember which side. no letters in the serial #, serial # between 1
and 6360, or thereabouts. Made till "65. I paid $4900 for my DD
special, about 10 years ago.

[The s/n on the tag will probably start with DXXXX. and is on the right side.quote="T Hatch"](reply to post at 00:38:13 02/11/14) [/quote]

The serial number is on a plate attached to the right side of the frame and just below the operators platform. It is very clearly marked 22A07215 which does not seem to match up with anything I can find on line.
