I need some advice. I am looking at buying a loader but not sure if it will do the job or if it's worth the money.
I just want to clear out some 10" dia trees.

Also how hard are finding parts & what are common problems
The price is 7000

I've got an HD4 which is basically the same as a 655. Just a little older. Parts new or used have been fairly easy to find but expensive. I rebuilt the engine and torque converter a few years ago and all new parts were available from a Minnpar dealer.
New rollers were also available but the price was crazy. Near $500 each. I ended up buying some used ones. $7000 sounds like a very high price for a loader unless it's in pristine condition. I've had many chances to buy them for $3500-$4500. I paid $3800 for my HD4 dozer with a 6-way blade but it was pretty beat up.

I saw a HD4 loader with a cab sell at an auction for $3500. It ran good and had a decent under carriage, but needed steering clutches.

You asked for advise, so here it is. Get a rubber tired backhoe. It will do what you want plus many more jobs, and cost less to maintain. I have had dozers, crawler/loaders, excavators, and backhoes. Just get a backhoe and be happy with it. There is my 2 cents.
