I just bought a Allis-Chalmers D17. I am trying to find the serial number on torque tube. does anyone have a more detailed description of where its at or better yet a picture. Thank you.

If you look to the very left front of the torque tube on the front lip
of what would be a bell housing on a car or truck engine, it is
stamped right on the edge (the stamping runs perpendicular to the
ground, up and down). It's where the torque tube mates to the
engine. It's at about 10 o'clock.

thank you I found it. it was there the entire time just needed to clean off where they had painted ir and the old gunk build up.

it is a a 58 model. now I know which manuals to order again thank you so much.
