Making a power unit out of WD?

I'm making a power unit of of a junked wd.I only have the engine and transmission. I want to run a belt pulley to a feed grinder. I have the engine on a running gear. I don't know what to do with the imput shaft from the transmission. I need it to run the belt pulley. Would any of you have any idea on how to make this work. Thank you for your help.

You need to have the bell housing, shaft and something to support the shaft. Rather than the WD torque tube as in a WD tractor, A WC transmission might be the simplest. It should bolt onto the bell housing and thereby provide support for the bevel gear that drives the WC/RC/WD belt pulley attachment.
Maybe the WD transmission will work also (without the torque tube in between), but I doubt it).

At one time, every ride at the "Fair" was powered by one of these AC Power-Plants..

Sorry I do not remember what the rear of the unit looked like..

(quoted from post at 22:58:13 02/05/14) if you have motor/bell,trans. you will have the pulley or the hole for pulley , install ,done'''.
The input shaft from the WD stays with the transmission when it is separated. I think I have to cut the shaft but I dont know how to keep it in the bell housing.

According to the AGCO parts books, the clutch housing for a WD and WC have the same part number. So a WC transmission would bolt right on and provide you with an easy way to use the regular belt pulley form a "W" series tractor.

If you cut off the transmission shaft you would have to put a good sized pillow block bearing at the end of the shaft. This would hold the shaft in place and couteract the side thrust from the belt.

Most units at the "fair" were CE125 motors like a B or model C tractor. THey were fixed up with a bell housing with a clutch and PTO drive mounted into the special bell housing. THey did not use the tractor bell housing or transmission parts.
