CA hyd pump

Pump will raise arms but wont go down. Put blade on wont raise it. Full of new oil. Ideas?

What part of North America do you live in? If you are in a cold weather climate replace your hydraulic oil filter and add some kerosene to your oil. Just finished helping the neighbor resolve the same problem

There is NO filter on a CA Allis hydraulic system.

Sounds like a good cleaning of the pump and valve might be in order. New fluid don't help if there is old nasty stuff in there that isn't flushed out.
The lift arms will go down hard even in warm weather but you could have a plunger sticking.
If it won't go up now, you might have the bypass spool stuck back or a broken spring on it.

Can the pump be flushed on tractor? dump oil & fill with dieselfuel & run for a while? thanks John
