I would bet on a flex ring issue. I repair a a couple a month with this same problem. Good pump that lasts a long time, but the flex ring is kind of a maintenance thing. Every older roosa pump with any age or hours will need one. Sooner or later. If you repair it before it takes out the rivets it is a straight forward low buck repair. I get $350..00 to clean, reseal the pump, and replace the flex ring. Then I run them on the test stand. Anyone who charges much more is taking you for a ride. Al Baker 231/757/0064

Very well said Al, your completely right! I called a shop one time and he said $1000 bucks to start ,may be more $$$ they dont make them any more blah blah- i told him i knew what the kit cost and theres thousands out there : he changed his price to maybe $750 , nope no thanks
