wd45 hydraulic pump

Just bought a used pump for my wd45. it had bewen sitting on a garage shelf for 10 years. the guy say it works, but that i should flush it out first. how do i do that, or is it better to just tear it all apart and clean it that way. any help would be appreciated. thanks

The first thing you should have is a very good shop manual so you can study the internals of the pump. If you feel confident in your mechanical ability you most likely should take it apart to make sure things are not sticking. Ryan
