7010 a decent tractor?

Is the 7010 a decent tractor or should a buyer expect the usual drivetrain problems that plagued Allis tractors?

A few months ago somebody posted on here that the 7010 was twice the tractor as the 7000 but did not say why.

Thanks,

Theres two close to me, I pulled the head on one for a burnt valve, replaced the injector pump on the other. They don't have the same trans problems as the D series, seem like a decent 110 hp tractor.

7010 is the most updated version. a couple items to concern yourself with. is it a power director or power shift tractor. also make sure it has a water filter on it. then you need to figure out what you wanna do with the tractor. a loader tractor with a power director is a pain. sometimes the head would warp on the 301 engines but that isn't anything to be alarmed about. good tractors!

Trannys are 100% better than the D+ 100 series tractors, cept now the cables used for shifting + hyd are getting old and will need replaced along with the Power Director seals and or Powershift seals- PS get real expensive to redo! And you will still have a huge clumbsy 11000 lb hunk of iron, but they are better than an XT jumping out of gear and getting killed
