AC Parts Book Question

Hello All and Happy New Year,

I recently purchased this parts book.

As you can see it's dated February of 1947. I was wondering what the earliest master repair parts books for the B, IB, C models including the power units that were published by AC.

The most interesting part about this parts book is the amount of detail it goes into. Also, on the first page, it has printed on top "Dealer Parts Catalog". Farther down the page it states that "This book is a temporary issue which will be replaced when our new revised issue is published."

Any info regarding this posting will be appreciated.

Not sure about the direct answer to your question - but I have an early 1940"s AC Dealer Master Parts List that covers ALL models. Its broken down into sections like Front End and then subsections for each Major Model - though there are some tables that show B, C, IB, etc which share some common parts. It has had updates added as late as 1946 but other page dates go back to 1942.

As to the D-26 Parts Book for B, IB, C, B125, & 60H, I have Feb 1950, Apr 1954, and June 1964 versions. Earliest of other Individual model books I have is D3 for WC, WF, W201 dated July 1947.

I also have TPL-28E for B Tractor dated Dec 1939 which was a combination Operator Instruction with Parts List.

So it would seem that early tractors (pre-1940s) included a Parts List with Operators Manual and later tractors (after mid 1940"s) had a separate Parts Book. You may have one of the earliest of these.

Thanks for posting ACEd. When it comes to these old manuals, I would guess that a direct answer might be hard to find so any info is appreciated.

Do you have a pic of the cover of your Master List? I do have two other books, a D-26 Parts Book for B, IB, C, B125, & 60H dated September 1952 and a WC, WF, W201 D-3 dated October 1955.

I've been collecting many manuals relating to tractor models I have and want. I'm currently working on the Model WC series of manuals providing the price is right.

After farther examination of this book I found that it also lists parts for RC, WC, WF, and a reference to a WSM.

Its in a 4 inch post binder but unfortunately the front of binder is missing. Heading at top of Index is MASTER PARTS REPAIR BOOK - Tractor Division
