wd45 deisel starter in a wd

Will a wd45 deisel starter fit in a wd tractor and everything match up. Thanks for any help, and does anyone have one for sell. thanks again.

The catalog I have list the 2 starters as being different. Now as to how I do not know. It could be as simple as the diesel one being heavier duty for the diesel or it may have to do with the drive.

you have to move the ring gear back about a half inch. Thats what I did.
