A customer wants me to put a pump PTO shaft on his D-17 series III, gas crankshaft for his FEL. My question is: Is the pulley on the crankshaft drilled and threaded to install a PTO adapter? We tried to see if it was , but it is to tight see the front of the pulley.

It should have a 4? hole threaded setup- mine does, I don"t remember if my Series I had that. But yours should.

Yes,if it is gas,

I have a Series II and it has the threaded holes.
7/16" bolt holes 2-3/4" spacing.
I found a splined adaptor designed for Ford on e-Bay that fits perfectly.
I also found a 3/4" X 13" long shaft with the correct spline on one end and a keyway on the other which was also designed to fit a Ford.
I have not put it all together yet, but the shaft appears to be the right length.
If the tractor is a diesel, ignore this as I understand the hole spacing is different.
