Taking G to sandblaster soon. Would like to remove pulley attached to crankshaft. Have no idea how to take it off. Dont want to break anything. Thanks, Lou

Bolt is a standard thread turn to the left to loosen. I urge you to re-think sandblasting the engine, way too easy to get sand in a place that will do much harm later!

I agree with Joe. Think about a hot boil at a machine shop. That will make the block clean in side and out if they have good equipment.

I agree with Joe, unless you are going to rebuild the engine I would not sandblast it. The force of the sandblater can push the sand past seals and when you start it up afterward you might have leaky seals which will also mean you probably got sand inside the engine.

Not just the engine can get into trouble from sandblasting. I found the brakes on the G I purchase full of sand and had to replace the rear axle seals.
